would you mind commenting on the technical aspects of how you got this shot?

Filters? Lense? Sharpness?

Great shot...

Perfect timing, I love how the colour of the flowers plays off the late mountain sunshine.

you know what's weird..... those flowers look like the texas flower (bluebonnet) and the other wild flower (indian paintbrush) that grows at the same time.

interesting...

Such a beautiful capture! It is amazing how much the landscape changed after the eruption, but it is wonderful to see color coming back into the area.

I actually remember the day of the eruption. We had to wear those white masks and there was ash all over the streets. I remember playing with it and being memorized when the rains came and washed it away.

I think this is one of the most pronounced, attention-grabbing landscapes that I've seen of this area. With the subtle light and the quiet mid-tones, the bright red of the flowers in the foreground are almost symbolic of the sleeping, ominously-lit beast in the background. A capture to be proud of, for sure.

Incredible. You have an eye for wildflower landscapes. Very well done.

If I may ask, what filters did you use for this? Grad ND?

It's beautiful. The Pacific Northwest and volcanoes are part of the country that I have not been to, but desperately want to. I love to climb and hike, so my eventual goal is to one day summit Rainier.

You have an eye, my friend. Well done.

FANTASTIC use of color! The mountain and the field below are both woven with cool tones, but the red flowers and the orange glow on the rock from the sun tie the image together perfectly. Gorgeous. What else have you got in your gallery?
